Rip-offs! The Warning signs...
NEW! FORUM!

#1 RULE: YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE TO PAY TO BE REPERSENTED BY AN AGENT!

IMPORTANT: In the below information, I am NOT saying that there has not been success in certain programs listed below, but merely that they are not nessicary and will most likely take more money then you will make back right a way.
For example, one of these programs has a success rate of 2% after paying $1,000 when promised to meet with agents. You could meet with agents for free...

SCAM warning signs:

-an "invite only" audition for "agents from all over the country" is a sure lead into money. Think about it...agents have enough people submitting to them, they do not need to seek around the country for talent. An LA agent is not going to want to sign with someone from Boston, there is no point, unless that person it willing to move.

-CONVENTIONS, though may be informative, are a waste of money. You may pay $1,000 for the weekend, when you could have gotten an agent for no money at all. The chance of success at these "showcases" are slim to nothing.

-No class or school can promise success or jobs.

-"Modeling Schools" or "Acting schools" are not nessicary, and though they may have interesting classes, will NOT BE YOUR AGENT and cost 4 times as much money then needed to spend on good classes.

-Modeling and Acting school auditions are no way to test your talent. They take almost anyone willing to fork over money.

Do your homework. Check out these sites and search.

Here are a list of programs to think twice about when you sign up:

Oh please, please, please, remember: THIS IS A BUSINESS. You must read, reseach, DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Don't pay, because what may look like a short cut, will most likely be a short cut to nothing but loss of your money.
